Aero towing release location
I've done some searching and found some conflicting info. On a high wing plane (Piper Cub) where is the best place to mount the release? I have seen it from slightly behind the CG to on the fuselage at the back of the wing. Which is better? Or maybe it really doesn't matter and just depends where its easier to mount a servo.

RE: Aero towing release location
Ideal place is right behind CG on top of fuse.......if you can mount it there. The 1/3 rd Cub they use at the JR Aerotow has it there. Second best place is to mount it at the trailing edge of the wing on the top of the fuse..........

Either location is doable on my plane. My only concern with mounting on top of the wing is all the force on the two nylon wing bolts.
I could probably find some aluminum ones though.

If that is the case then make the release at the trailing edge of the wing and mount everything in the fuse.....mount the release to the rear former behind the wing.....that way you won't place any load on the wing bolts.......
