RE: Combat Wings XR
Some people like to try to experiment and see what they can build and how they can make and change it flying charecteristics. It is easy to buy something that is pretty much done and make it fly, but to take dimensions of an airfoil and cut them out yourself is gratifying for some.

RE: Combat Wings XR
In that case why don't you just go directly to http://www.combatwings.com and explain to them that it would be "gratifying" to you for them to share their design with you. They just might be generous enough to give their design away... but maybe not.

And most people don't call it experimentation when a proven design is copied. It's not as easy to copy the design as it is to buy it, but at least when you buy it, the original designer is rewarded for his experimentation and development.
