SPAD Sloper on Chandler Butte!
I happend to be driving by chandler with my spad sloper, so I stopped and had some fun! I was told "You can't fly those things on chandler" (things=spads) but I say HA! check the pics and video!

SPAD Sloper on Chandler Butte!
Very nice video. I must say that your plane is probably the nicest looking SPADs I have seen, and it appears to fly just as well.

On this spad, I was more concerned with performance and durability than looks. It does perform well, and it is tough as nails ( I hit the rocky ground 2 times at speed that day). I have been flying this sloper since November, and as you can tell from the video, I'm not real carelful with it. Origonally, it came out with a 7 oz wing loading, but would not penetrate so I added 8oz of ballst, and it works pretty well. I could easily add more and have even better energy retention, but I still want to use it on light wind days.
I owe all my spad fun to morgan at www.mugi.co.uk for getting me into coroplast slopers, and the founders and fourm members at www.spad.org and www.spadworld.net for all the help and inspiration.
