yes it is. I would say it flies great for what you pay for it. Do not expect a superb performance glider for competition or so. But it thermals nicely, I specked it out many times. It flies great, looks cool with the short wing chord and winglets. You can do loops and rolls, but you have to be careful not to stress the wings too much. I like the DG-1000 a lot!

Thanks for the info. Looks real nice for the price. I'm not a contest flier just like some quiet time at the field if you know what I mean.

put 2 hooks about 1" in front of the CG and about 1.5-2" below thw wings for hi-start. it's much safer than just having one hook
