RE: Nice Glider To Build
You could try looking for a Flair Albatross kit. This is a 100" rudder, elevator, and spoiler (if you want them) model. I have one and it flies very nicely. It has been my most used glider over the last 6 years or so.
It works well in slope lift and also thermals well.
Kits are becoming more difficult to find as the ARTF's become more popular with those who don't have the time/inclination to build.
My last 3 models have all been built by means of just buying a plan and then `kitting' it myself. This is more time consuming but rewarding... if you can spare the time.
Have a look through the magazine adverts, a better bet may be to talk to a good hobby shop or try a google search.
Good luck with your search.

One that will be a good build and will give you a far more competitive plane than some of the 'old faithfuls' from the 80' and 90's but equally good handling is the ClimaXX from Hoellien Contruction runs a S7012 section is CNC balsa and will take a full F3J style launch.

be warned their site is woeful to get around but you must click at the top of the menu<English/Online Shop/Planes/Segelflugmodelle/Höllein/Climaxx> price is 154 Euro.
Alernately if you want an ARF I would suggest the Mistral or the Rapid Glider from Reichard Modelsport for around 150 Euro.

On the last ones I must admit I am a bit biased as I have just become the Australian/NZ distributor for Reichard and am in the throes of loading their products on my website <www.rc-sailplane.com.au>
Cheers
Good thermal hunting

Sig Riser 100 (if you can get one). Easy build and a very good flier.

Why did I just know that you were going to say that Keith?
