Default Weasel Building

We are building weasels. Looks like a great glider.
My buddy and I are building a couple and will be posting our progress...

If you don't have one they can be obtained from: http://www.dream-flight.com/

We will be using Hitec Gear.

We currently have joined the wing halves and are moving to the next step.

? for Crusader_1; did you test the filler?
I may just keep sanding to see if will come out smoother.

Enjoy.

Default RE: Weasel Building

Made some progress today.

I managed to get through the inital spraying of glue...went better than with my Zagi. I was able to get the 3M 77 glue real even. I started spraying away from the glider, into the air, then moved the can accross the foam all at the same speed.

When doing the leading edge with the strapping tape don't go too far along the outboard side with the strapping tape, meaning along the round part...will kink on you.

Trailing edge went fine, I measured it first with a small cut of the tape to average it out between the bottom and top.

Followed the instructions otherwise, all went well.

Here is a Pic: [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/gallery/galleryItem.cfm?itemID=118914&dummy=9457.632569471405&opener=/gallery/galleryCat.cfm%3FmemberID%3D224806]Weasel 2[/link]

Currently at step 17 of instruction manual. Talk to you tomorrow.

Hello again,

Taped the bottom - no problems. I may have went a bit fast didn't get the edges of the tap lined up as well, but it will work.

Thanks for the pics and reports. I should have the time to catch up with mine tomorrow afternoon. Still not sure how I'm going to do the ailerons.
