Default Release mechanism

After searching here and on the internet, I have come up empty. Looking for tips on how to build a reliable release mechanism for sailplanes. Something that will work for either aerotow or a cradle release. Any help would be appreciated.

wheel,

Dymond Modelsports and Hobby-Lobby both sell nose releases for aerotow. Multiplex has one, too, but I wasn't able to check their site.

p.s. - on the Dymond site they're listed under "scale gliders"

I use the release systems available at hobbylobby on my glider. They are reliable and easy to install.

Below is a homemade tow release (picture is from a user in another forum. You connect a straight piece of wire to your release servo.
