Sailplane locations?
Hello, I was wondering if there were any glider/sailplane guy that live up in the high desert near Palmdale? I would like to come out and watch. I am in the process of buying 2 sail planes and would like some tips and setup info. Let me know Thanks Tim

You're close to one of the finest dynamic slope soaring sites in California, Parker Mountain.
I think that there's a webpage up somewhere, www.parkermountain.com or something like that. I'd wander out there sometime and ask the locals. Some of the guys that fly with the AV Tailwinds (Paul Burke in particular) fly sailplanes as well (http://www.avti.org/index.html)
