I see that the wait might be months! I think the Weasel will be worth the wait though, as I've seen many of them fly and they're very manueverable even in light wind. It makes a great glider to fly at the beach and is so compact you can take it with you anywhere. Too bad the wait is indefinite... Jim

Yeah,
I'm not in a big hurry but indefinately is a little too long for me.
Anyone have a beat up pos one they would sell? or a good one I'm not picky! Or a sugestion on something reasonably close.

The Salgo looks like a CLOSE choice. seems to be faster, but not as good in the rolling area. saw a vid of it flying in RCG slope and it looked pretty good.

Properly built, a Zagi THL will stay up in some incredibly light air. You'll probably end up with the CG back around 8" back from the nose, and with less reflex, and smaller throws than the instructions suggest.

OK
I looked it up, thanks. It certainly has LOW wingloading at 4 ounces to the sq foot! A flea fart ought to thermal it[&:] and it would be quite suitable for the abundant small slopes here in the Ozarks. I have been searching for and FINDING several good slopes. We have coal firedand hydro elec generation here with huge piles of slag with grass growing on 'em....hmmmm. Dams are all around the lake area and we have a seamingly endless number of gravel quarries. one is near my house and has a LONG valley out in front of it faceing west and grassy rims. I don't Imagine those "No Tresspassing" signs count for slopers???? I'll ask permision though.

Other considerations would be the the

I have been cutting my own cores for for a real simple 4oz 26 in span glider that flys great in light lift and can handle up to 30MPH winds with a little ballast.
