Hobbico Upstar Q
Just picked up ARF Upstar from someone getting out of the hobby. Stock everything (brushed motor/ 1600 NMH battery)...just test flew it tonight, couple questions as I'm brand new to flying a glider.
-It's SLOW as a pig, is this glider worth upgrading to brushless/ lipo? Or just lipo?
-It has an annoying pull to one side when you hit full throttle, typical of 2 channel gliders?

RE: Hobbico Upstar Q
Quick search here on the site shows a few threads about the plane.

I have not flown this particular plane. But from the reports that I have read and the one I know that flies one. Its OK for what it is.
Do your research and aee what you go with. From the sounds of it. Go with the brushless setup. Balance the prop. Check the CG and all should be good. The pull you are talking of maybe a twisted wing, or a heavy wing. Are the controls set for neutral? Is the plane trimmend to fly straight and level? Just a few things to check for.
Keep us posted as to what you go with.
