Hello from Phoenix AZ!
Hello all!
I'm new to the board, but I've been in the hobby for a while. I used to fly flip flops, but when the last "Somethin' Extra" got mid-aired I got out of the hobby for a few years. Now I'm back in using my old radio gear and a Gental Lady kit that I'm building currently. I've flown gliders before, one was my first plane and I tore it up (Of course) the next one I flew for some time before someone turned a radio on that was on my channel and it went in. I'm planning to pull it up with a Norvel 0.061, and if I can I would LOVE to slope soar,.. I saw some of that out in Cali and it looked like a blast.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any slopes in Phoenix or the surrounding areas to fly off of?
Thanks!
Whiskey

Yeah,.. Flagstaff has some killer slope soring huh? There is a video on Utube of them flying combat with Zagi wings set to a pretty cool song,.. nicely done, I did that once in CA and it was a blast. I go to flag a few times a year to camp and hang out, usually in the summer since it's about 30 Deg cooler and I'm definitely bringing my plane next time

I'm sure you all have seen a Glider before,.. but I'm pretty happy with my progress on this plane, so I figured I'd post a pic. I'll spare you the building pics,.. but this one shows about where I am right now.
Enjoy,
