Bluff Park, Long Beach, CA Combat Video
Here are the links for the COMBAT video we did this past Sunday. In the first part of it, you see my Avenger going at it with Frank’s Cavazos (manufacturer of the Boomerang combatwing).
http://www.worldofrc.com/blufpark2.wmv - High Quality 20mb download
http://www.worldofrc.com/blufpark.wmv - Low Quality 5mb download (recommended for dial-up users)
The video is in Windows Media Format for the newest Codec. If anyone has any trouble viewing the movie clips you may download the newest media player from Microsoft at the following location:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...ad/default.asp
They have a version for most operating systems, even MAC’s !!!!

Rob,
It won't play on my Mac even with the latest and greatest M$ player, oh well...
I lived in Belmont Shore most of my life and flew at the bluff regularly until I moved in '94. Glad to know flying is still allowed there. I have yet to find a flyable slope here in upper Michigan, but next time I come out there I hope to be able to bring a plane along. I wonder if a Shadow would qualify as a carry-on...
Cheers,
Dave

RE: Bluff Park, Long Beach, CA Combat Video
Cool video. I'm new to this hobby and looking to get a setup to allow combat once I know what I'm doing. Did you guys have combat systems on the planes or were you trying to knock each other down? Are wings the best for this sort of thing and are they appropriate for a beginner? Did you have to get permision to fly there and what about people below? I live near Lake Erie and it seems like it would be nice to fly down there, but I'd be worried about people.
Thanks!
Anthony
