Default Multiplex Easy Glider Question

Hi Guys,
I just got a Multiplex Easy glider Pro with the Brushless Pro Tuning power package.
The ESC instructions say can be used for 2-3 cell Lipo , but elsewhere in the manual it clearly says do not use a 3 cell with the 12 x 6 prop provided.
Has anybody used a 3 cell Lipo with this combination ?

Hi Xantos

I have an Easy Glider Pro with a 3s 1P 2500 LiPo battery and 12 x 6 Multiplex folding prop, and it works fine, been flying it that way for 6 months or more without any problems.

regards

As you're concernted, it would be prudent to measure the Amp draw with the combination you're looking at, paying attention to the current rating of the ESC.
Just stay below that with the prop/battery combination that flies the plane best.

HI,
The issue here is not whether the ESC /Motor combo can take it BUT whether the folding prop assembly can take the power delivered using a 3 cell lipo
Anybody have any long term experience with this ?

Get a watt meter so you can measure things and be sure.

Default RE: Multiplex Easy Glider Question

Can the wings, H Stab w/ Elev, V Fin w/Rudder from an Easy Glider Electric be used on a Easy Glider Pro Fuse? Can't tell from the pics if they even look the same. Not looking to do any major mods, so hoping it's just a drop in for the wings and tail feathers.

I have a EZG E with a snapped off nose (wind sheer got me on landing), beyond a decent repair; so I'mthinking why buy a replacement EZG E fuse when a better Pro fuse allowing a bigger Outrunner is the same price. I had made my tail feathers removable for travel, so I can reuse them ... if they are the same as the Pro's.

Any 1st hand knowledge and advice on this is appreciated.

I'd like to know the same. I can't deceide whather to get a standard EasyGlider or the Pro. I want to use it as a slope glider, so will not install a motor, and the EasyGlider specs show it as being considerably lighter. Are they the same construction, or did they beef up the pro?

Found it! They list replacement parts for each version on the Multiplex website:
http://www.multiplexusa.com/models/m..._electric.html
http://www.multiplexusa.com/models/m...lider_pro.html
The numbers for the wings and tail feathers are the same!
Best regards,
Mike

I considered this too, until I found that selling replacement parts makes MPX4 times the price of the full plane. When you order the EzG Pro fuse, it comes with nothing else but the fuse!. The EzGE canopy does NOTfit, and there is no motor mount (it's a special "cup" shaped insert), no control wire snakes, no plasitc parts .... no nothing else! You may as well buy a EzGPro "Kit" just to get the fuse and it would be cheaper. I ended up just buying another EzG Efuse from the cheapest place I could find (Atomic Hobby) and transplant everything else.

Use your calculator before you buy the EzG Pro!
