cox medallion .09 engine, what glider to put it on? BOT?
A guy at work overheard a friend and I talking about airplanes and he mentioned he had a ton of old stuff he'd give us...
Well it was treasure for me, I got a brand new in the box cox medallion .09 engine with the muffler throttle...
I"ve been wanting a larger 3m glider and this seems perfect but I'm not 100% for sure.
Is the .09 large enough?
I'm thinking maybe a bird of time arf with a power pod?
What do you all think / reccomend?
Any affordable ($150) 3m arfs out there? What would you all put it on?

It may be able to "glide uphill" but the climb would be weak unless you can build the BoT to a very light overall weight. A better option for your Meddalion engine would be one of the older classic 100 inch span models.

I have a Tee Dee 09 on a 100 incher and she does fly ... using an 8x4 prop. Fuel is 15%. Use 20% or 25% for more power. I would say this glider is the max I would hang on this engine. She does snap props though, the plane has a good deal of momentum and if the prop doesn't finish horizontal, the prop snaps. I would like to find a folding prop that will take 15,000 rpm.
