STARTING SOARING CLUB IN MOHAVE COUNTY ARIZONA
I would like to start a soaring club in Mohave County Arizona.
We have lot's of mountains and cliffs for slope also. Pleanty of public land. So we should not need a club airfield.
I live in Bullhead city. But I'd like to have a once a month get together all around Mohave County. Partners for regional events will be another positive also.
I wish to base the club on commen positive fellowship.
If your interested.

RE: STARTING SOARING CLUB IN MOHAVE COUNTY ARIZONA
Howie52,
This is a really great RC site. However there seems to be more sailplane followers over on RCgroups. Often its the same guys as here.
Hang in there though, these things start slowly, informally, then one day you have a group. The next thing you know you have a club. Just keep flying regularly. Put out a flyer at any local hobby shops. I email the hobby shops as they like to see the hobby grow too!
I recently started a Tuesday AM glider session in our club and sometimes its just two guys sometimes as many as eight. It is growing though as more non glider flyers in our club are getting gliders. Starting a club this way will be a slow process. The best thing to keep in mind is you get to fly a lot doing it, your enjoyment will become contagious!
