Where to find a glider kit with aileron controls
 

After years of flying, I have finally begun looking into moving into the world of powered gliders. There are many great ARF models out on the market, but I am more interested in building mine from a kit. Do you know where I could find a glider kit in the 2m range that has a minimum of 4 channels (rudder, elevator, throttle, aileron). Flaps would make it even better, but aren't necessary.

Any help would be great.

Der himmlische Höllein (http://www.hoelleinshop.com/) have several kits at around 2m, e.g. Climaxx Compact (200cm), Climaxx Elektro/Evolution (248cm) and Inside F5J (286 cm).

There's even two 2m-version of it. The first one utilizes the basic RES-wing but with shorter wingtips, the second version is with a different airfoil and uses ailerons instead of spoiler.

In Europe - especially Germany - a 2m RES class is gaining popularity. Some puts small brushless motors in those. You can find one RES-plane at ModellBau Claus Thiele (http://modellbau-thiele.de/). The site is in German, but it's fine writing them in English.


MyHobbyStore (http://www.myhobbystore.co.uk/) and Traplet (http://gb.trapletshop.com/) both have shortkits for the designs from their magazine. There are probably some planes there that suits your needs.
