Default Hello and thanks!

ello everyone:
Haven't dabbled in RC for about 30 years. Stumbled into a local hobby shop last weekend and stumbled out with a Blade SR. Yeah, everyone gets this concept! Been attempting hovering in the house and thumped it into a wall. I was stuck in the process of blade grip replacement and Googled for help and hit RC Universe. The first post I found totally straightened me out and now I'm ready to take the Blade outside and further ruin it! My compliments to a great community, of which I'm proud to be part of. I hope that I'll have some good things to share soon. Off I go -white knuckled!

Default RE: Hello and thanks!

Thanks nothinbeter2do!
Well, I took the Blade to a large outdoor space and was able to eekout 5 short durationand rather tedioussemi-hovers, before a sphere retainer on the "training wheels" gave up.
No crashes (barely none!) but won't attempt flight without the helpers. It seems that the Blade is operating Ok, but it requires a LOT of corrective action to keep from loosing it and I'm wondering if there are some adjustments (trimming, balancing, whatever) that I need to make???
I have a sim in transit. Hoping it will arrive Monday.
