So is this only a 6 channel reciever with the 7th being for the battery or can Iuse a y-harness to use the 7th channel for my governor? Iapologize if this sounds like a stupid question but Ijust got my first futaba tx and rx and dont know much about them yet. Thanks for the help.

It's a 7 channel rx, like you said just use a Y-harness on any channel to use all 7 channels.
