Default Glow plug

Hi

Is there a certain type of glow plug you need for heli's?
Iusually fly planes, but i am having ago at helis.
I put an OS 8 in my heli (Thunder Tigre 39), I have one flight, then the plug won't work again.

I really don't want to have 1 plug, 1 flight Will cost a fortune!

Thanks

If you smoked the plug, especially an OS8 in one flight you were either running too lean or sealed your muffler with RTV and used too much.

That or you have a bearing coming apart. Examining the plug should give you your answer.

Ahh thanks. I didn't know it could damage plugs running it too lean.
It has been running lean though, the engine wouldn't run right so I was messing with it alot.

Now I know why it's doing it anyway.

Thanks

Yup, overheating the plugs by running too lean is the quickest way to go through them, that gets expensive in a hurry
