RE: chosing the right parts for my heli builds
Hey bro the nearest thing that will help in my opinion is the GAUI 550 heli. Reasonable price to set up. Two 2200 batteriesin parralel will power it but not with very long flight times, refering to the crossover use of batteries. I will send you some other info.

For your 450...the 3s 2200's like you were using is the "norm". Thats what I use in mine
On the 550, I use a 6s 5000 pack and a 100amp ESC. You could go as low as an 80 amp ESC if you so choose though...of course depending on your motor.

If you are on a tight budget, look at the Turnigy offerings. I have a Turnigy in my 550...but I havent flown it enough yet to give an opinion. All I can say for the moment is that the Turnigy 600 motor works, how long...I dont know???
