Help Me choose FP or CP For Next Heli
I am looking at moving up from dual rotor to either of the following. I live in an area by the sea so it is typically pretty breezy which can be an issue for small craft.
Also, I do like "bigger" in order to see what the aircraft is doing a bit better
Blade 200 SR X
Advantages-
may be a bit easier than CP
works with Spektrum radio
parts readily available
Disadvantages
I hear that it "breaks" rather easily
Hausler 450
Advantages
Full CP
Bigger-easier to see
Works better in wind
Align parts readily available
Disadvantages
May be a bit tougher to learn and fly
Radio issue (can I use any receiver with this heli? If so then this is not an issue)
I would appreciate any comments
Thanks-
Larry

In my opinion...I would without a doubt get a Blade mCPX. You can still buy them and get parts for them. Blade now has the Nano CP that takes the place of the mCPX I believe and may be a little better but I'm not sure. The mCPX is very durable and is a perfect outdoor collective pitch heli to learn on. When I say durable I mean I have nose dived into the ground and nothing breaks. Do you have a good transmitter? For 250.00 you can darn near get a good transmitter and a mCPX or Nano CP.

I just read your post again and I didn't realize the first time I read it that you live in an area where it's breezy. I would say forget the mCPX....it doesn't fly near as well in a breeze(more than say 8-10 miles per hour). I fly mine when it's a little breezy but only in idle up mode and even then it gets pushed around a lot. You are going to want something bigger. I don't have any experience with any other electric heli's as my other heli is a Raptor 50(I did learn on this heli and it handles a breeze nicely).
