esky honey bee SIM CABLE PROBS
HI ALL HAS ANYONE GOT ONE OF THESE TO WORK
I BOUGHT THE ESKY HONEY BEE OFF EBAY IT CAME WITH A TRAINING LEAD BUT I CANT GET IT TO WORK I DONT KNOW IF ITS A SERIAL OR PARALLEL COS IT IS A MULTI PLUG IE SEIAL AND PARALELL COMBINED AND A DIN PLUG AT OTHER END THAT GOES TO TRANMITTER I TRIED IT IN SERIAL PORT ON MY PC WITH FMS FLIGHT SIM BUT WONT WORK ALSO CANT CONNECT THE PARALLEL COS ITS THE SAME SOCKET THATS ON PC IE BOTH ARE FEMALE PINS INSIDE THE PLUG
ALSO WHEN I PLUG THE BATTERY TO HELLI AND TURN TRANSMITTER ON THE LIGHT ON HELLI IS RED THEN GREEN AS IT SHOULD HOWEVER IF I DO A QUICK THROTTLE UP THE GREEN LIGHT GOES RED IS THIS NORMAL.

Same problem. I have an esky heli and can't get it to talk to FMS through the serial port in Widndows 98. I've tryed every combination of the port settings in the Analog Control menu (in FMS).
Please let me know if you figure this out!

Hi,
My sim interface tha comes with E-sky is not FMS, but for other much better and more realistic than FMS. It work for helis and planes.

hi as far as i know the serial cable that comes with esky wont work on fms but another simulator program if you have got the paralell port one that is supplied with the futaba radio gear this should work on win 98 i am at this time waiting for another helli with paralell lead aand i also am trying installing virtual pc and running windows 98 as a virtual pc to see if this will work also i will let you know what happens

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I BOUGHT AN ESKY HONEYBEE AND CANT GET THE COMPUTER TO RECOGNIZE THAT THE CONTROLLER IS CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER, I HAVE THE SOFTWARE FOR THE SIM INSTALLED BUT AS SOON AS YOU PULL IT UP IT SAYS "UNABLE TO DETECT TRANSMITTER ADAPTER". I CANT GET IT TO FIND IT IN THE SERIAL PORT OR EVEN A USB ADAPTER. IF YOU KNOW WHAT I CAN DO PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS

It sounds like when I recieve mine, it might work or it might not work on FMS. Great. Hope for the best. What other freeware simulators are there on the WWW?

ok, this is a common problem lots of people have...with a very simple remedy
go into control panel, then "system," then click the hardware tab
go into device manager, then double click on the "Ports" object...you need to have your sim cable plugged in to the COM jack on the back of your computer
double click on whichever COM jack its plugged in to
click on the Port Settings tab and put the "Flow Control" setting on "Xon / Xoff"
in FMS under Control, Analog Controls, choose PIC Serial interface, choose the correct COM jack, and put "protocol" on the selection of 9600...something or other

I also bought from Ebay and have simcable working great with FMS . But first you need to download PPJoy interface, its only about 2 Mb (do Google search) and follow instructions. This must be running each time you use the FMS software for it to interface.
Transmitter must be switched on before running PPJoy and left on when using FMS. Not worked out what trainer switch does yet, only had 3 days.

I have tried all the suggestion here, but still its not working.

I have tried PPjoy, no luck with this one.
I have tried several other flight sims and I’m becoming very frustrated.
I’m running XP pro and I have been told by the person I get the Heli from that is the trouble.

Well I have done some more reseach. I'm not seeing any output from the serial interface from the back on the Xmitter.
I have checked out the cable and it is fine. It is a serial cable!!!
Could it be just a bad Xmitter?

my provider ebay seller: rcbeginners told me all cable factory provided now is for 4 channel esky, 3D esky cable the manufacturer
did not provide yet, but they ship to customer with 4 channel heli cable . that is the reason why so many customer got the probelem

I've tried everything (I know of) to get my new Esky Honey Bee 2 (bought on ebay) 3D controller to talk to my serial port.
I've installed PPJoy but I can never get the 3D controller to talk to it (i.e beep), whether the controller is on or off.
I'm new to heli flying and don't want to start the real heli before simulating.
I'm running Windows 2000 OS.
I've got the following response from the guy on ebay that sold me the new Esky honey Bee 2 (with free simulation Software!!):
Due to the simulator and cable are not fully tested, there may have the problem in some PC, so we sold it for free.
I mentioned it in my list. The other ebay sellers for E-SKY are using the same package from factory, but they didn't mention it in list.
