Default Raptor G2?

Hey I was wandering if the Raptor G2 is a good stabel helicopter? I've been looking at it for awhile now but there isn't much info on it.

Thanks!

Are you asking about the Raptor in the RealFlight Simulator G2 or are you asking about the Raptor V2?

The real life Raptor V2 is very stable. Can't speak for the one in the simulator.

Good Luck,

i have had my raptor g2 about 2 months now, last week i was out just hovering in my back yard, lost controll and smacked it against a table leg, my problem is that the piece i need to get it flying again, i do not see in the parts list, so i started looking in the dragonfly 36 parts list . same problem i do not see the exact part i need. but i did find it in the dragon fly 36 main rotor system upgrade kit. my question is will the rotor upgrade for the dragon fly 36 work on the raptor g2......hopefully i can upload a couple of pics so you can see exactly what i am looking for.....first and second pic. is the part i need

Just got my Raptor G2 and managed to bust up both sets of blades so far. Yes I read the manual, made adjustments suggested STILL coldn't get the thing off the ground.
O.K. I admit it...this is probably NOT the copter for a novice.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hello Scruffeyboy, Have you installed a li-po battery? Here is a photo of mine the stock battery won't even get mine off the ground with the li-po it has enough power to fly.

Feuer, You will need more than just a battery to make it fly. Unfortunately you will have to change the motor (pinion gear) in stock configuration or upgrade to a brush-less motor. Maybe mine was just a factory dud but I tried everything with stock motor and li-po, every adjustment possible with PIT and PLT and wouldn't even attempt to get off the ground. I finally installed a himax 2580kv Brushless with a 14 tooth pinion gear and 35 AMP ESC, you couldn't keep it off the ground. I borrowed the parts from a heli-max 400. I had to return them to my friend though so I bought the Align 430 BL motor and 35 Amp ESC with a 12 Tooth pinion and the thing about pulls your arm out of it's socket. So upgrade the stock motor and battery and you will have a great flying helicopter with power to spare. Let me know if you have any luck. Thanks

Hey nuz, Yeah I had the same problem. I upgraded mine to the Align 430 Bl and 35 Amp ESC. It Rawks now. You'll have to put a brush-less, li-po and esc. then they fly great. If you need anymore help let me know.

You dont have to change the motor unless it doesn't work completly. The inner main shaft can be extended alittle and it fly be-a-utiful. Try this before buying all of this stuff

yeah I adjusted the inner shaft up and it still wouldn't fly in stock form. Mine had a stripped bolt holding the motor on and metal was in the motor. It got worse the second time I fired it up. You can see grey metal all over the magnets inside my stock motor. It would have worked when it was new had the factory not ruined the mounting bolt.

I'll sell the stock motor for 50 grand! Anyone want it?....

Mine flew pretty good, I was looking at them the other day and I have seen many different types of motors on them. Where did you get your Raptor from. Was your stock motor have a yellow sticker or no?
