Default Newb Lama v3 Questions

How long should I charge the battery for?

Best way to charge battery? Better Charger? with settings for auto shut off?

I thought I saw a bendable tail structure, not sure if it was for the lama, If so, Anyone have a link?

Do you recommend Watt's Up Watt Meter? Anyone use this?

Use the charger that came with the heli to charge the battery. Leave it connected until the green light on the charger goes off and stays off. It may start flashing when the charging is almost finished, but let it run until it stops flashing completely.

The charger that comes with the Lama is a balance charger, and will not over charge the battery (unless it's broken or something). It should take around 1 hr. to charge the battery fully.

The Lama unbreakable tail is here:

Thanks for the reply.

Followed the prcedure for the battery, The battery (bag) did swell a little bit.

Should I be concerned? Can I pierce the (bag), is there liquid inside, it would seem that it is just air?

Ordered the Tail!

Ordered watt's meter.

A swollen lipo is very serious. You should stop using it, and dispose of it right away! No, do not pierce the plastic covering. If air gets to the lithium inside the cells, they will catch fire.

The stock E-sky lipo batteries are not very good quality IMO. I had several swell up for no reason before I found better ones. These are MUCH better, and a lot cheaper also:

Look for the "2 Lama Lipo Battery Deal" near the bottom of that page.

Pierce the bag and you get a roman candle on steroids!
