LOL!!! OK, I've made my decision. I'm gonna go with a FP. From what I hear from you guys and given my experience level, reason dictates that I save myself from embarressing myself on these forums. lol

So, now to decide which FP...

still looking at that FALCON 40 from exceed(excceed anygood?) OR the HBFP (E-Sky make good RCs)

oh sorry about that lol. Um yea i'm looking at your vids now. I saw the one titled still playing and noticed that at atleast two occasions the HBFP suddenly spun really fast but then stopped right away doing like 1 1/2 revolutions. Is this normal??

Food for thought. The last time I crashed my FP the cost to repair was $1.90, the last time I crashed my belt CP the cost to repair was about $24.00

the last time I crashed the one of my HBFP's it cost $1.50, then one I crashed yesterday cost me $7 (broke my frame trying to fly through my doorway out into the garage dumbest reason for a crash ever, could have carried it the extra 3 ft but nooo, oh well, could have been my Belt CP which just cost me $60 to fix)

Are the FP birds precise, like when I learn to control it well enough, can I go wherever I tell it to go?

I really wanna know am I going to feel like I am missing out on something by getting a FP bird instead of a CP bird when I start to fly it?

No, you really can't control the pitch on a CP heli anyway, The pitch is determined by the throttle position.

I want the most stability, does FP provide the stability that CP does?

if you can fly the HBFP then you'll have NO probs transitioning to a CP, and it'll be cheaper

No, not really but pitch doesn't provide stability anyway, size does. In reality the pitch is also fixed on a collective pitch heli, just fixed at different degrees at different times.

ok thanks, Im messing around in a sim and found out that I like the power the freedom from the CPs. I'm playing the AeroFly Pro Deluxe using a xbox 360 remote. I find that the analog sticks arent as precise as real joystick box but it comes pretty close. The hard part is learning how to fly these things nose in... geeze... thank God for simulators...

Think I'm gonna stick with getting a CP, I know but I want an all in one deal that comes with a Lipo battery and the HB CP2 from raidentech.com is looking real good. I'll check up tomorrow, goodnight and thanks for all you guys for your help.

If anyone know how I could get a Lipo battery into the falcon 40 or the HBFP?

Umm you can always go to ebay. I got an upgraded HBFP with 2 lipos and a BUNCH of spare parts for the cost of the new HBFP. Then when I crash it a few times use up the spare parts I am going to put it back together and resell it on ebay so I can order a Belt CP.

If the HB's are all sold out then when it comes time for you to upgrade you can sell that one for what you have in it. EASILY. I seen a few used Fp's on ebay go for well over $100. When they only cost $85 new. That way it is not like you are wasting money your making money to use a cheap bird as a trainer.

Perhaps ypu should start out with a "90".
The bigger they are,the easier they are to fly.
You will notice that pilots learning to fly full size seldom crash.

see, most people think that the bigger the heli is the easier it is to fly, NOT... my Belt CP down right scares me (just like someone on here said, its like flying a chainsaw) Thats why in 5 flights I've crashed twice, and spent $100 fixing it, so now not only is it intimidating because of how fast the blades are going, but I'm also worried about crashing cause it costs so damn much to fix. Now my HBFP, I crash that all the time, almost everytime I fly it I have some sort of rough or unplanned landing without breaking anything, kinds of stuff that my CP's would never survive in 1 piece. I am completely relaxed flying it, once you see how rugged it is you get to be comfortable with it and can concentrate on learning to fly it. And while I fly my HBK II inside (inside my house, not recommended) theres no way I'd try that with my Belt CP, where as I fly my HBFP all the time inside, and being able to fly a single rotor heli inside is important cause thats where most beginners have to practice. And man after my last few experiences with my Belt, when I finish my E-Smart build I'm only gonna spool it up to check everything, its NOT gonna leave the ground (its actually gonna be strapped down) its gonna be a few more months before I try fliying that. A 600 size heli is just massive.

lol nuttcaze you're so right on that.
I agree that its easier to start off from simpler and smaller heli because flying isn't the only part of helicopters.
There's repairing and learning to lift off without paying 12093210 dollars into the hobby.
