Spare Parts?
I will soon be getting a Esky Honey Bee King 2. I would like to know a list of parts that tend to break during common crashes and/or wear out quickly. I am ordering a bulk of parts before I even get the heli just to make sure. I am sure I will need these parts during the learning proccess.
All comments and opinions are greatly appreciated, thank you.

RE: Spare Parts?
Blades
spindle/feathering shaft
main shaft
main gear
tail belt (maybe tail boom as well)
flybar
servos (might just want to get futaba 3114 as replacements instead of the stock ones).
those are what i'd get for sure

RE: Spare Parts?
Thank you, I will be sure to stock up. I was also wondering on a brushless motor. I am trying to decide between an outrunner or an inrunner, I am familiar with both. I would like your opinion on dimensions and kv. I think I will pair it up with a 35a esc, is this suggested?
I would like to order from www.unitedhobbies.com. Great Prices!!!

RE: Spare Parts?
any motor between 3100kv and 3900kv will work. I have the esky 3800kv motor and it works great, slight modification is required by dremmeling the lips on the motor mount but it would only take a minute or so. The stock esky esc is 25amp but I'd suggest at least 30amp.

RE: Spare Parts?
here what you need,
[link=http://www.ka-planes.com/inc/sdetail/8442]Bigger gear for tail belt[/link], I jus got mine and am gonna make a vid for youtube about it.
and
[link=http://www.ka-planes.com/inc/sdetail/8837]Brushless upgrade w/ESC[/link],
another thing to look for, when you crash and have to buy new parts for the rotor head, check for Belt CP parts, the heads are the same, except the Belt CP uses metal ball links and ALOT more bearings
example if you break the washout assembly, youd have to buy
[link=http://www.ka-planes.com/inc/sdetail/7220]Washout base[/link] and [link=http://www.ka-planes.com/inc/sdetail/2610]Control links[/link] thats $16
or
[link=http://www.ka-planes.com/inc/sdetail/2275]Belt CP washout assembly[/link] for $8 and you'll notice how better its made
there is one piece you dont get with the Belt washout that you do for the HBK II washout, the piece with the metal sliders, but that doesn't usually get damaged

RE: Spare Parts?
Thank you for all of the help. What diameter shaft should I look for? Most 370s motors that I am finding have 2mm shafts, is that what I need?

RE: Spare Parts?
You have been so much help I figured I could ask this question too. I plan on ordering a higher capacity lipo with my brushless stuff and would like to know how much room there is in the frame. The lipo I am currently looking at is about 100x34x27mm. Will that fit? Would there be any extra space?
Thank you again for all of your help.
