HELI PATTERN FLYING * F3C * PRECISION AEROBATICS
There's tons of threads about flying helis in 3D. How about having one for FAI-F3C Precision Aerobatics?
If you're into this, let's discuss it. Tips on training, sources of information, books/manuals, who to ask for information, etc. etc. Here's a link to the FAI download section to obtain the F3C Section 4. [link=http://www.fai.org/aeromodelling/documents/sc4]FAI SPORTING CODE[/link] |

Hi,
As a newcommer to heli's after 18 years of planes, I too prefer the look of smooth aerobatics. This site gives some info including the 3D stuff. http://www.littlerotors.com/flyinglessons/ I will be interested in seeing what you uncover. Cheers, |

Hi Bigfeet,
I was doing fixed wing also, but for half the time you'd done it. I wonder if you're familiar with Scott Stoops' work "Master Radio Control Flight"? I bought his book a few years back and am looking for material which is written in a similar way - as it applies to helicopter precision aerobatics. That piece of work was just so good. If you're not familiar, then please visit the link below: [link=http://www.rcpilotguide.com/samples.htm]Sample Diagrams: Scott Stoops [/link] If you find anything like this, please advise. Yes I am familiar with the littlerotors website. Thanks for pointing that out - I overlooked his descriptions for the basics. Its quite good. He even notes the pitch requirements for some maneuvers. Cheers |
