Default JR G500T Gyro

Hey guys, need your expertise. I was given two JR G500T gyros from a friend who passed. It is my understanding that they are used on RC Helicopters. My question is can this gyro be used on a regular aircraft, I want to use it to hold rudder on a BirdDog which has tricky take-off tendencies. Thanks, I have no knowledge on this matter. Chic

Yes any heli gyro can be set up to work on an airplane. If is one that is switchable between Heading Lock and Yaw rate, you will find it easier to use in yaw rate.

Exactly. Make sure its flat to the yaw axis.

There's an extensive thread in the airplane section on using gyros in airplanes with a ton of information.
