What is the definition of 3D for heli as the rotor never really stalls in flight ? Just curious

Airplane 3D is just stalling the airfoil? Not from what I've seen.

Picture a helicopter in the air going end over end and side ways over side all at the same time. Thats 3D

The airplane "3D" term is really not accurate, basically just a name given to a new series of stalled or somewhat violent maneuvers resulting from extreme maneuverability, especially in pitch.

For a heli I think it's being able to fly in any direction at any time. For a great example of 3D heli flying check out this vid:

Ryan, thanks for the great video which clearly defines heli 3D flight. Alan has got to be the best. I've seen one of his demo flight videos, but this is way better.
