Default tail rotor ball link

Burnsie90

I had to to put a new metal ball on with a longer bolt and nut it all together. The original ball link has a small bolt in it and it tends to just come loose in flight and you'll lose control of your entire tail rotor. So just get a longer bolt with a nut and put it all together with blue loctite and problem solved. I've also replaced the the tail rotor pitch slide with the ksj 1179 all aluminum tail slide ring, because the exsisting one is an all plastic ball that wears out really quickly. No more slop in the tail slide now.

Hope this helps.

Flipped,

Thanks for the advice. Where can I get the ksj 1179 all aluminum tail slide ring?

Thanks,

I order mine thru my LHS, so if your hobby shop can get ksj parts then you can get that, it may take a short time. Took me a little mine. Its made a dramatic difference in my tail rotor, and I don't have the fear of that little plastic ball just snapping off now. I'm also ordering an all aluminum tail rotor pitch control arm to add to it as well the part number for that is ksj 396 it's about $29 here. I just think they are smart upgrades for this heli to stabalize the tail.
