canopies???
Hi all,
I was just wondering if somebody makes clear polycarbonate canopies for helis. The rc car bodies are made this way....you paint them from the inside....the paint is fuel proof, they are tough and they look great. I have a Hawk IV and the oem canopy is TOUGH...bleach bottle plastic...takes crashes great but paint will not stick to it. The aftermarket canopies all seem to be fiberglass....paint will stick to them and they look great....but in a crash they will shatter.... and at $60.00-100.00 that would make me really depressed. Any ideas??
Thanks,
Mark

RE: canopies???
I don't think I have seen any either. It may be because of the shape. It seens like it would be difficult to paint a heli shell from the inside. A car body is much more open and you have room to work. Anyway just a couple thoughts.

I bought that one from a place up here in Canada called [link=http://www.greathobbies.com]Great Hobbies[/link].
It probably would fit the Dragonfly, the are pretty much the same heli as the Hummingbird.
