Gyro by Colco gy 400 ?????????????
Has any one seen this gyro before or used it. It is call a GY 400 by colco. The price is low so im considering one for a micro electric heli, but not sure of its performance. Looks to be gy 401 copy. Any suggestions or opinons on this. here is a link to one on ebay. thanks john

RE: Gyro by Colco gy 400 ?????????????
It is NOT a GY401 copy. Not even close. I have one of these, and it doesn't work very well, and it's very fiddly to setup. It does not react well to even minor temperature changes either. Also, the instructions that come with it, are cloned off the Futaba instructions, and being that this gyro operates nothing like the Futaba ones, the instructions are completely useless. This gyros operation is more akin to CSM gyros i terms of setup. If I had to guess, this gyro is probably just a re-packaged telebee/align gyro.

Steaming pile of poo. it shares the case and instructions with the GY401 but nothing else. I.e the bits inside the case which are what make the gyro good or bad, are cheap rubbish.

yup, this gyro was on my colco lyns 380xl. It sucks and hard to adjust. the settings almost do nothing. It also goes bust fast.
