Ten-year-old Empire Hobby pilot Kyle Stacy, AMA number 790921, had the opportunity for the flight of a lifetime. ABC contacted Kyle and his father Ray Stacy about appearing on the new reality show, Master of Champions. The show, which is about people who possess unique or special skills for various activities, will feature Kyle on an episode that is scheduled to air on a Thursday in late July.

Scott Larson, producer of the show Fear Factor, contacted Kyle after learning of his exceptional RC helicopter piloting skills through Internet forums. The producers of the show will have Kyle and his T-Rex helicopter compete against seasoned helicopter pilot Bryce Hatfield for the title Master of Champions by assigning specific challenges to each pilot. Kyle and his family were flown to Los Angeles for four days to practice for the challenge and shoot the show.

Kyle has been flying helicopters with his dad for 3-1/2 years. He is currently the youngest member of Team JR. Be sure to watch as Kyle demonstrates his piloting skills on Master of Champions. Additional information regarding Kyle can be found on his Web page: www.kylerocks.com.

plez plez plez show it on the australian abc.....boy i want to see this.......wish he was going to be yousing his raptor insted of a t-rex tho

Well, if you want to show off 3D flying, the t-rex is about the best helicopter to do it on if it's got the right setup. Would easily fly circles around a raptor in 3D flight.

Of course, that's aslong as you don't plan doing it in the outdoors on a windy day .

It was originally scheduled for the 22nd but due to some technical issues they had to change the date.
I'm not certain but I think the new date is 7/27

It's too bad the show was OK entertainment. Can you tell us how Kyle did on the show? Or can't you say. I've had the pleasure of seeing Kyle fly in person would have liked to see him on TV.

Kyle Stacy Wins Master of Champions; ABC Show Canceled

Recently we posted an article about a 10-year-old Empire Hobby pilot, Kyle Stacey, who was asked to appear on the new ABC show Master of Champions. ABC, however, has canceled the show and Kyle's episode will not be airing. The good news is that Kyle flew perfectly and did win the competition. Congratulations to AMA member Kyle Stacey!

i saw him on Saturday at Walt's Hobby in Syracuse. He put on a great show with the GAUI in a small , very crowded room. He also has THE ONLY PROTOTYPE 5 BLADE GAUI. That, was very cool.
