Default Which 3D thrasher practice heli ( Hawk or Raptor V2)

Hi, I need help to decide which 30 heli to purchase for practicing 3D. I plan on using the TT39 in either the Hawk or Raptor V2. I just bought a new quick 30 pro, but don't want to stuff it into the ground learning new tricks. I also had a Venture but it was way too heavy for the OS32.

How much did the Raptor weigh? The crash kit for the Raptor is alot less also compared to the Hawk.

That Quick Pro's boxed up and ready to go Monday. I do not think you will be dissapointed with the Quick 30 Pro's performance..I still fly my Shuttle RG from time to time, not as agile as my Xcell 60's were but it pretty good for a 30..

The Raptors at the field I have flown are very 3D capable...with the TT39 you should have enough power to get out of a tight spot..The RG with a good 3D heli, but I would lean towards the Raptor as the RG is a bit $$ still..

I was thinking about getting the Hawk at first since it is only 160.00 and if I ever totaled it then the loss would not hurt as much. Then after totaling the price for the Hawk with the TT39 the cost is almost the same as the special heli-world.com has for the Raptor V2 kit with the TT39 325.00 shipped. Alsolso the crash kit for the Hawk is about 50.00 and the Mavrrik crash kit for the Rap V2 is only 36.00

I am glad to have found rcuniverse to ask questions. Wish I new about this place when I started in airplanes. Thanks for the help and looks like the Raptor V2 will be coming in at the same time as the Quick 30 Pro.

Thank you for the replies.

I've been flying a Raptor 30 v1 for over a year
now and have put it through about everything
I do my X-Cell 60 in the way of 3D. It will
do anything you want it to do including inverted
autos.

Hi,

I have a falcon 46 and it flies
very much like my fury.
I use it as my practice heli, because it's cheep and
dose 3D like The fury....
