Default carburator adjustment

I have a 32 sxh engine in my Jr Venture. When I try to Ritchen engine,by screwing out the needle valve on Carburetor the engine will not change. I can almost unscrew needle valve all of the way out with no change. What would be causing this!

What kind of fuel are you burning. I was using wild cat for the first gallon ( YUCK!) and had the needle valve out 4 turns to get some smoke. Since switching to cool power 30% im out almost 2 turns. So maybee try changing fuels.

Also when I was flying planes i would sometimes have a controlled crash, and would get some dirt and junk in the carb that would totally screw up any setting I would try to do.

I hope that helps.

Default Needle

If youn can not get the engine to richen up a lot of times it means you are sucking air some where.Usually around the needle o rings. You can slip a piece of fuel tubing over this to see if it help's. Tim.

Reality check:

Are you trying to richen it up in the idle->hover
zone or the hover->fast flight zone?

You're aware that there are 2 needles, right?
One for low and the big one for high.

Every bodys engine is different, wildcat was plain miserable in my engines. I was burning out glow plugs, no lubrication, running hot. If you like it, thats great! But when you go to the nationals..... all you see on the flight line is cool power.

just my .02
