Default Can't stop tail wagging

I have set up the radio (futaba 7C) and gyro (futaba 401) on my raptor 90 according to the raptor technique article and tried all that i can think of but the tail is still searching which is worse on AVCS mode. On AVCS, it is nearly impossible to hoover and in normal mode it it a little better but still pretty much unflyable. I have to be missing something simple here but can't figure it out. Haven't reversed the servo yet but checked it manually on the bench for the proper travel and am quite sure it is correct. I can't imagine it would even get off the ground in the wrong direction. Any ideas?

Figured it out all by myself. I set up the gain values as suggested but had to turn them way down to settle down the tail. Just used to the old school gyros and had to figure out how to adjust from the radio. Once i figured out how to do that, it was easily fixed. Feel like a newbe again trying to figure out all this new technology. But i like it!

Old school= turn up the gain till it wags then back off a hair.

Current methodology = turn the gain up to the minimum amount you need to hold the tail in the most demanding manuver you are capable of. I use tail slides or fast sideways. Any more will prematurely wear the servo.
