Default os 61 wc somehow leans out in flight

I just started up the fury for the first time of the year. I hover it to see how it is doing and it did was great. I banged it at full throttle and it rocketed up. later I lost all my power and the motor was really stressed. Then it quit on me. I have less then 2 gallons on the engine. I touched the crankcase cover and it was hot. The smoke filled the yard and before it quit there was hardly anything. Everything points to it leaning out, except a burnt plug.

I did not changed the settings since I last ran it and it was fine then. Same fuel. I checked the lines and they are not clogged. All of the sudden it ran fine and leaned out on me. Luckily I got it down okay.

Did you check the line in the tank(s). One may be broken or could have a hole in it. That is not uncomon. I fly year round, so regular maintenance is a no brainer. I change my lines regularly just to be sure they are all good. But if I were you, I would change every piece of fule tubeing on the machine and try it again. Also just for grins, I would richen the mixture up a bit until I found the problem. If the line isn't the problem, buy a new gallon of fuel, and check for crap in the carb. Also check inside any and all filters on the model. I know this is the route I would take, and most likely one of the said things will solve the problem. But to me it sounds like a fuel tubeing problem. If I were you I would make changing the fuel tubeing a regular thing, no matter how much fuel you have through the machine. To me it is simply cheap insurance. Good luck.
