esc/motor brake
I reset my CC35a bec/esc today. Before it was set to soft brake and the motor would stop spinning and the head would continue to spin down. Then I set the esc to no brake and the motor spins until the head stops spinning. Is this normal or have I done something to my motor?

It's normal. You've basically told the motor to continue to rotate even when you have no throttle. With any kind of brake the esc is actively trying to stop the motor from turning when you've got no throttle.
