Retracts and lighting
Hey,
I have a futaba 127df 7 ch rx and i only have one channel left but i need to put retracts on that ch. is there some way to hook the lighting system in line with the retract servos or will that cause interference? or do i need a 8ch rx?
Thanks
Matt

RE: Retracts and lighting
Possibly a contact switch of some sort to complete the light circuit mounted somewhere on the retracts? That way when the gear goes up, the switch makes contact, and the lights come on. Just an idea. Maybe someone else has a better solution. Would probably help if you let us know what heli it is and what retracts and lighting system you are using also.

Agree with Bugzilla. That's the way I sort of plan to do it. Just make micro-switch control on the servo.
More help ? Ask, there are plenty helpers here.

Are you planning on running the lights off the receiver battery pack? [X(] I would STRONGLY suggest AGAINST that! Use a separate battery for the lights and set them on a switch. You can leave them on all the time or wire them to a micro switch activated by the retract servo as suggested earlier.
