Default Binding TX to RX battery packs

Can anyone tell me how to build a battery pack for binding and what volt it should be? I have a 7 cell, aaa NiMh 8.4 volt pack. Would that work? I think I was told it has to be 7 volt and no more than 5 cell but not sure. I'm binding a DX6i to a AR6100 and a AR6200. Thanks

You can use the 7cell pack for binding but I wouldn't power up any servos with it. It would be best to just find a old 4 or 5 cell pack. No more than 5 cell pack to power std. servos. It doesn't have to be more than 7v.

Went to the spektrum website: [link]http://spektrumrc.com/[/link] and all of the receivers that I checked are capable of doing 3.5 to 9.6v. So the receiver can handle a 7 cell pack. But as mentioned above, I would make sure that no servos are connected unless you are absolutely sure that the servos can take the voltage.

Great, thanks for the info. I think I'll remove 2 of the batteries to be safe.
