My dad's R/C Coast Guard 6 foot long Dauphin Helicopter
This is my dad's Coast Guard Dauphin R/C helicopter, it's about 6 feet long from the nose to the tail. The thing is so complex, it uses a 14 channel radio 
. When you're hovering you can raise and lower the electric winch hanging off the side with the rescue bucket and whatnot, it has retractable landing gear, search lights, and a ton of other stuff. The entire helicopter is custom built from scratch, it was not a kit and it took my dad 8 months to build it, he's had it for about 3 years. He just had this awesome helipad stand built for it, it's an exact replica of the helipad off of a Coast Guard ship complete with flashing blue lights, safety net, etc. It's basically the entire helipad section off of a Coast Guard ship, including the actual hull.
The thing is so incredibly large that the 12 inch tall G.I. Joe Coast Guard action figures actually fit perfectly inside the cockpit and whatnot.
Here are the pics, keep in minds that the pictures don't do it justice, it's so incredibly detailed! Also, the blue lights you see in the picture on the helipad actually flash, you just can't tell because it's a still image.

It looks like your dad is an excellent scale builder. How often does he fly it? What kind/size engine does he have in there?

That's a great looking scale Dauphin. I know, i'm in the Coast Guard. I used to see the Coast Guard Dauphin up close all the time.
