Batteries dying 2x as fast on new charger...

I just got the Tenergy TB6AC charger and when I charge my Blade Nanos batteries on that vs the little usb charger that came with the nano they die in under 4 mins just hovering vs 8 mins when I charge on the USB charger that came with the Nano. I have the Tenergy set up as follows: 3.7 volt lipo, .2amp, 220 mah, input power low cut-off 10.0 v, lipo/lilo/life chk time 60min, temp cut off 80c, safety timer 120min, capacity cutoff 220mah (which is what the battery is) I would really appreciate someone's help because across all the forums I have asked questions on I have not received one single answer on any of them which is kinda discouraging.

Hi,
Are you charging one battery or multiple batteries at a time?

What adapter cable are you using to connect the umx LiPo to the charger?

Do you have the charger programmed to charge in LiPo mode and not LiFe or LiIo?

I'm charging multiple batteries 6 to be exact and I'm using a hobby tiger 6 in 1 1s lipo charging board and yes I'm in lipo mode. Thank you very much for replying I really appreciate it.

If you are using a parallel charge board like that one and charging (6) 220mah batteries at a time then the settings you listed are not correct. The charger should be set to charge a 1 cell 1320mah pack, if you were only charging (1) battery then the charger would be set to charge a 1 cell 220mah pack.

Oh ok yeah that makes sense. Sorry I'm sure to you that was dumb question lol I'm still learning. I'm very grateful for your help!

You're welcome!

That should solve the issue.

So one more question do I change the charging amps to 1.3 or keep it at .2 but change the capacity cut off to 1320mah? Or do I change both?

flyinwalenda 02-08-2017 06:06 PM

You have to change the cut-off to 1320 otherwise you will still be putting only 37 mah into each of the six packs.
You can change the amperage to 1.3 if you want to lower the charge time as that is a 1C charge rate.
