O.K.,
Like the rest of you, I ran right out and bought me one of them there new fangled 14MZ's with a M illion Z illion features, and FOUTEEN channels, and the fancy screen and all that jazz, and I got a couple of questions about it.
1.) Why do I need to put a picture of the model I'm flying on the screen? I'll just start looking at that one, and forget I'm flying the big one in the air!
2.) Why do I want to program in some voice commands, when all my flying buddies will just be yelling over my shoulder-"GEAR UP! GEAR DOWN! GEAR UP! GEAR DOWN!" and "THROTTLE UP! THROTTLE DOWN!" just to mess with me?
3.) Why would I want a radio that operates on the Microsoft Windows? I already have enough problem with that system on my PC, and I'd really hate to spend whole day programming a bunch of "stuff" into it, then have it shut down, lock up, or just forget I ever did any of it.
4.) What am I supposed to do with the OTHER 10 CHANNELS?
5.) Where do I get the money to build models for the next five years, now that I've bought this thing?
Just wondering up here on the NorthCoast..........

If I went out and really bought one of those Footabas, then I'd have spent more like the next ten years worth of modelling money....you forget Lowe's is my hobby center! 20 bucks buys a model or two.

yer for those of you who said youll never trust your planes with microsoft, so much for that.
of course i ALWAYS knew it was only a matter of time before a radio like this came out, from the secon when radios started haveing screens, just like the time when mobile phones started haveing screens, then games, and now its kinda standard that all mobile phones ahve a colour screen and an operateing system.
is this where our hobby is going?
will future transmitters have realflight or some other sim build into them?
stay tuned.

Man, this thing has a pcmcia slot? I could put a modem in it so i could go online and look at naughty sites while I was flying(and crash) The parris hilton video would be playing on the tx as my plane took off someone's head

Even worse, now you can surf RCU when you are flying from your TX. Someone's going to die from the lawndarts. Nothing like buying stuff from towerhobbies from your own tx while your plane is in the air

I think I'll stick with my good OLD 4 channel Futaba, Hitec, and JR FM radios! It's all I need, if I need more I use my patented handy dandy "add a channel" device that alows me to activate other "functions" from an already used servo. It very light weight too.

RE: 14MZ
before ya know it they are going to be puting cammeras on the back of your radio just like these cell phones these days.....
the good thing about windows hook up.... when its cold you and 100 other people can be flying the same plane from inside! could come up with some wicked stunts doin that!
but why would i want a radio that cost more than all of my planes put together?
