Electons in mine. Easily installed with little modification. Totally expect no problem. Should be finished soon and test flown.

How much rudder throw are y'all using? Manual says maximum. Just wondering what a good target is to shoot for. I'm setting up the linkages now. Thanks

Parker
Sorry! Anything over 40mm (1 3/4") is a bonus, Knife Edge at the required speed only needs around an inch
My UF is around 45mm each way.

Is there a weight penalty for going electric? And how much might that be?

I have just collected my Ultra Flash today. Has anybody tried the Electron retracts in anything yet, and will they fit in the Ultra Flash? I might just order a set anyway as I fancy trying them.

Thanks

Barry
Been flying them in my UF, maybe 20 flights to date with no issues, they do inspire confidence. Bit like kerostart, once you have used it you don't want to go back.

I'll post a picture after work today. I have the Behotec Down and Locked converted gear. The retract gears themselves have added no weight. The unit is powered by the ecu battery and the control unit weighs about 1/2 the weight of a servo / control valve combination. In reality, no added weight or in fact a slight reduction. It is not, IMO a significant difference either way.

Thanks Rob,

I never had a doubt about the quality, I just wanted to make sure they fit before ordering, and as you have already done it they obviously will.

Off to spend more money to help the global economy.

Hey Everyone,

I maidened my UF yesterday. The plane flies incredibly well! Very stable, trimmed right out and is stable as can be on landing. The P140 is a monster and throttle response is so fast! It was a great day and I look forward to flying it alot this summer. Thanks to Dave for the build thread and everyones input as well. Having a thread like this to reference makes building a breeze!

Dave,
Thanks for the help. Just need to extend the slot in the vertical stab a hare more and should have about 1.5.

I extend the slot and taper the rear so the pushrod lays in the feathered groove that is left.

Hey.
What are ideal throws on the elevator, aileron and flap on UF? The throws stated in the manual are very small, but this is new to me, so I ask before I take the maiden
