Go Duncan!!!
Ali!! a set of pink walled tyres for Duncan and if you've got a Pilot Barbie to go in it he'll be made up.
Joking aside It's a nice scheme,

No, you're right Duncan, a line has to be drawn. The UF is a rather classy scheme.
I'll look forward to seeing all this pink on the flight line some time soon.

Steve you bought a Gay Pride Gryphon, so any comments about schemes etc should be ignored LOL

Hi,
I have the same struts in my UF...It looks like your retract rails are not centered in line with the well. My wheels fit centered in the well but sit very deep and not flush with the skin by any means. Even with the packers...

any one have any idea how reduce the trail with these new struts? They no longer have the notch that you can just file some more like I have seen previously in this thread.
thanks,
Parker

Its just important the leg and wheel don't touch the wing as this can stop the unit releasing.

Any pics of your full bypass motor installs?? I have a p140 I'm my new UF. I noticed once installed with the JC fod screen there is not much clearance for air to flow around the motor. Probably 2-3 mm all around. This ok??
Thanks
Thanks

I run mine without a FOD, but I have seen enough with and they seem OK. The cooling from the tail pipe comes from the Naca ducts in the rear lower fuselage, thats why they are important. I like to see more cool air going down the pipe mixed with the exhaust gases, you could add a couple of Naca ducts in the carbon cover just behind the FOD to introduce more cool air.

I ditched the lower half of the bypass for that reason as I don't like the idea of having so little clearance around the engine....defeats the purpose of the ducting in my opinion. The lower half is adequately ducted by the hollow section in the wing anyway so AB, I would save your self the headache and flag it off.

Thanks for the input. I had a bandit with one of the old fod screens with the plastic ring around it.. Couldn't understand why it was such a turd till I took the air choking screen off. BIG diff in speed when the ducted air is able to make its way around the motor..
