It's looking more than likely at this moment in time as it seems to be the only airframe that matches what im looking for in an airframe.
...just need to get rid of my Katana now.

The UF is an amazing airplane. I crashed no.1 from stupidity the quickly replaced it. I used the trays and linkages from no.1 in no.2. Everything dropped in perfectly..even the linkage was perfect. Didnt even have to adjust the length on anything to get perfect flight control alignment.

Should be straight and level at any throttle setting!

Does that mean it will dive inverted at full power?

Here is mine, its powered by a k140 kero start that i'm running on diesel, love this engine.
Started the build on a monday night finished it and maidened on Saturday that same week, this thing goes together so easily and flys so well and costs so little I defy anyone to tell me of a better sport jet deal available today.
And to top it all off gary from efflux rc came to our field yesterday with a radar gun I did some fast passes and stopped when I reached 250mph upwind, thats with a slightly nose heavy setup into around 6mph wind and missing one of my main strut covers (lost it in a mid air but thats another story)
Also i'm told by Dirk from kingtech that once the engine goes in for service I will get another 4 or 5 lbs of thrust!!!
If your looking through this thread unsure if you should buy an ultra flash, GETONE, and I strongly suggest getting a K140 from Barry to power it, they are a perfect pair!

Ahhh....so that's why mine does it? Could have sworn the CG was pretty much by the book.
Does that mean it will dive inverted at full power?

I fly mine slightly tail heavy. Inverted I just breath a touch of down (almost none required). Just makes it more pitch sensitive which is how I like to fly anyway.
Everybody has their own set up and preference, so find your sweet spot!
Then Go pull some G's!!!!!!
Happy flyin!

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
I heard that some guys are sturggling to get a good diesel start working so I thought i'd post my parameters here
Here are the parameters as you scroll through the start menu
Auto start 2, pump start ramp 7, glow plug power 7.5, starter power at ignition 140, starter power at ramp 160, rpm starter power 15000, rpm ignition k 3.000rpm, pump PW at ignition 014, engine min flow 19%, egt end preheat 100c, rpm preheat k 5.000 rpm, rpm fuel ramp k 6.000 rpm, fuel preheat 20%,
you really need a 9.9v life battery for this, its important that you allow the fuel and turbine to really get up to temp before it starts adding large amounts of fuel.
Make sure you test all this on a stand before putting it in a jet or you could end up with a crispy exhaust pipe
another thing that is really important is to restrict the air that is blowing through the turbine on pre-heat, if you allow air to blow through it will put the flame out, when on your test stand keep it side on to the wind and once in the jet cover the intakes with your hands until your out of pre-heat.
with these settings expect it to take 30seconds to start.

Is this also true for the Classic Flash? Mine also climbs at full throttle. In addition, it dives hard when gear are deployed. Can anyone explain why it climbs if nose heavy. I would think it would dive if it was nose heavy at full throttle.
Thanks

Pretty much any airplane. Short answer is, because you're carrying uptrim.
Think of it like this: you trim for level flight at some setting other than full, (trimming up to compensate for nose heavy whether you know it or not) when you go to higher throttle setting = more air across the uptrim = climb. If you then trim down to adjust for the higher airspeed, as soon as you slow = dive. It will be and endless game of compromise until proper CG is achieved.
