New RUSJET Project - Yak-130
The New Project of RUSJET (www.rusjet.ru) - Yak-130
RUSJET begins the new project – model for participation in the international competitions of radio-controlled scale models.
After long discussions, taking into account the turned out flight experience, operation of models of various configurations and participation in ten World and Europe Championships and
the international competitions, the decision on model creation completely own construction is accepted. As a prototype one of the advanced, one of the modern
jet fighter of Jak-130 have been chosen.
The most detailed information on a prototype can be found on a site www.airwar.ru
The detailed information under the model project will be published here:

Guys, be really cool if you could have an English version available of your site - your projects are always top class so would make the audience more appreciative

RE: New RUSJET Project - Yak-130
we know about this project - and two these planes were made on base Yakovlev Design Bureau in 90th years... And after Yakovlev and Aeromacci were made two simular but different planes...
It will good to see two of these models together on one runaway on Jet World Masters or F4G World Championship...[8D]

RE: New RUSJET Project - Yak-130
The first part of the information is already taken in hand. This data is a сommercial and, certainly,
We can't publish them here without distortions. All information in electronic form,
Real plane Jak-130 is completely depicted in 3D. Yakovlev Design Bureau will convert it in 2D drawings for us
in a kind necessary with any ribs and sections.
It will allow to make model as much as possible corresponding to a prototype...
The first part of the information already more than has enough to be engaged in the analysis of the project,
To define key parameters, to estimate scale, weight, wing loading etc.
Further we plan to begin to make models in 3D (SolidWorks), it can occupy some time.
The first in turn to make fin and the stabilizer.
As soon as the scale will be defined, it is possible to be engaged in building of some
еlements such landing gear, wheels, a cabin detail etc.

It's absolutely important for scale model to have good, suitable photos of prototype...
We were lucky - the best way to have photos - to make their by yourself ...
Photo walkaroubnd on military airbase...

RE: New RUSJET Project - Yak-130
Detailed calculations of the major parameters of model are made, in the chosen scale following figures turn out:
Model 2873*2431*1190 mm overall dimensions, the wing area 1,47 sq.m, CAH 677 mm, a relative thickness of a profile 0,08/0,06 that is very good for model flight.
Wingspan of the stabilizer 1207 mm, the area 0,31 sq.m, CAH 311 mm, a relative thickness of a profile 0,05.
Height of fin 861 mm, the area 0,27 sq.m, a relative thickness of a profile 0,06.
Track of the chassis 632 mm, base of the chassis 986 mm.
It is necessary to try very much to keep within in 20кг, this weight is maximum for JWMj et models.
Wing loading with the maximum take-off weight and full refueling - 170 gr./sq.dm.
Thrust/weight ratio with the maximum take-off weight and full refueling - 0,72.

.
Hello Vitaly, you have selected a most deserving subject that I could thank of for a user friendly platform and competitive possibilities. I strongly suggested this prospect to a fabricator last year.
Good luck with its specifics and will see you, if not before, at the Jet World Masters next year.

As an ex aircraft engineer I am impressed with the quality of the sheet metal work and riveting of the full size. Looks like a very high quality aircraft. Best whishes for your project, Ron Sweeney.

RE: New RUSJET Project - Yak-130
We start to made first molds of small details - helmet, mask, glass....
we used 3D scanner and real helmet for scanning and then use 3D printing for 1:4 model of these items....

RE: New RUSJET Project - Yak-130
I used Autodesk AutoCad and Solid Works for 2D and 3D design drawing. We used only HD cameras for airfoil tests - these tests were made for checking vibration and flattering due to high speed.
About production - this model will not produce as a kit in the nearest future. It's only for scale competition...

RE: New RUSJET Project - Yak-130
Unfortunately, we were unable to give details about building model of Yak-130. Alas, the time is not enough. During this time we won JWM, 2011, and built a brand new model of the Yak-130
Wish us luck on JWM 2013!

Story of the creation of the first model of the Yak-130 can be found on our website. In russian language only, unfortunately, but in the articles contains are very large number of photographs.
