I flew my V2+ Merlin 90 with Futaba telemetry. It logged 240 km/h and the max distance from me was 490 meters.
Pretty much as I estimated. So far pretty happy with the value. Only one thing causes a problem: one of the blind nuts in the booms eats the threads of the bolt. So there is something in the threads or the blind nut has been squeezed or glued to wrong position.
Anybody had this issue? The landing gear works surprisingly well.

TP.

Hi guys do you know which retract will drop and fit in the tornado for use with the spring air struct (3/8"), I want to change my retracs because is ver dificult to transport the plane with the landing gear down and my retracts springs are ver "tired" as well.

Thanks a lot.

Heres what I did because I had the same issue. Take half of a spare air connector the side that would connect to your wing for the gear and put a 3 inch piece of air tubing on it,make sure you you use a lighter to heat the end and seal it closed. I use the screw on type from Dreamworks. After flyingtake a pump,I use a Robart one just for this, and pump the gear into the wing. Now before you take the pump off the line going into the wing take a pair of Hemostats and close off the line on the wing side. Now take off the pump and screw on the small piece of tubing with the Dreamworks end or whatever your using on that line. Now take off your Hemostats and the piece you made will hold the air no problem. When you fly next simply take off the end and the gear will come out and hook up your lines normally to fly. I have done this non stop with tons of flights and without issue,it workd great and only takes about 30 seconds aside to do,no big deal, hope this helps.

Henrey,
I know last year you had sort of the same deal. There are some of us wondering if we buy a Jet Central Rabbit can we get a Tornado again. Some of us are looking for the same package with this engine. Let us know thanks.

Actually yes guys we are going to be running a very large sale on turbines and on the Tornado. For all our customers in Central and South America the sale is also on our other models that are exclusive to that region.

The sale is going to be very substantial on all turbines and also very deep discount on the New V3 Tornado which comes in two brand new schemes. The sale will begin next Monday and will be posted here and in the Market Place. The Turbines with Specials will be all King Tech, Jet Cat and Jet Central

I would like to build another while I still have my first one flying. Then I can just take my time and have it ready for when I need it. Heck if the package deal is good enough I may do a second one from soup to nuts.

The New V3 Christmas SPECIAL is up on the market place price is $399 plus $70 shipping anywere in the USA. The planes come in either Red and White or Blue and Yellow (same scheme just different color)

There has been several changes done on the airplane including shorter struts ( YES THE F86D STRUTS WILL FIT NOW), Fuel Tank hardware, Carbon Fiber control Horns, all hinge and conrol horn slots are pre-cut, servo's are still internal and the best thing the plane is 2.5lb lighter than before. The airplane can handle upto a 23lb thrust turbine but can fly well with a Wren 44 or P60. But I have test flown this model with the NEW K100G.

!!!!!!!!!!!! If you buy a King Tech or Jet cat at full price you get the new Tornado FOR FREE. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

SALE IS OVER DEC. 22 at midnight or while supplies last. 250 planes were built and so far 30 have sold !!!

Hi Henry,

If I have a pair of the old struts (from a V2) can they be modified to fit the new V3? Don't have them in front of to look at so can't tell if they could be shortened easily or not. They are actually on their way to Spring Air right now to be repaired so I'm sure he could probably take care of it...just curious what would be required to use the old struts on the new V3.

Thx,
Brian
