That's really not bad for quality trailing links. We need to see exactly what is going to be sold for the Tornado for 200 bucks. I don't mind putting a bit extra money in for grass flying safety.

Exactly...that's everything except the tubing, valve, and a tank
Sandor Kruise aka"Digitec"is great to deal with, I have bought a few sets from him...great service!

At this time we are not because, it was designed around the custom spring air retracts and we do not want people to start cutting away on the gear blocks to squeeze in bigger gear and weakening the structure.
Henry,

Glad to see you have changed your mind from my original question and decided to offer the plane without retracts. Thank You!!

I like the smoke tube......lol Can't wait to see the combo price with the turbine if it's as low as you lead on.

It's going to have to be pretty dang good IMO. You can get a KingTech K-80E turbine with 19 pounds of blow for $1725 right now from Dreamworks. Add in the Tornado and you are around $2200. I've seen the K80 run and talked to a ton of people who own and use them and they seem very solid and reliable. In comparison the P-60SE goes for around $2099 from Dreamworks. Add the Tornado and it would be $2574 for 6 pounds LESS thrust and a very inefficient fuel hunger. So unless this deal is around the $2200 mark or lower, it might be a tough sell. The plane price is still outstanding though.

I hope this combo deal is awe-inspiring.

The tail of the plane is all one piece. The elevator is designed to be glued to the booms, so all you have to do is unscrew the 4 bolts for the booms and that is one complete piece. As for the airfoil it is a semi-symmetrical airfoil that has been modified to have good slow speed characteristics as well as high speed. That is what makes this jet so great, it looks good and fly's even better
Not an original suggestion I think it was John Veasy who did this on his Falcon first, but when you take the booms and tail off, bolt a spreader bar between the booms to prevent transport damage pulling them apart and breaking the glue joint on the tailplane.

The Falcon has a bottom hatch to get too the wing holding bolts from inside, I assume the Tornado is the same, this was very difficult with the tank in the way in the Falcon, I modded my Falcon with a slot and tube in the wing to allow a hex key to get to a bolt permenatly fixed in the root rib and put the T nut inside the fus, as the CARF Rookie, much easier to rig on the field, also as there are four servo leads in each wing I used a PC serial plug and socket to automatically connect all the cables in the wing root, this is all fit out and personnal preferance though.

Can't wait to see the finnished offering.

I really suggest not making any decision on how to secure the wing to the plane since we have made changes. The wing is held by 2 screws not just 1 and some other minor things that will be shown in the instructions

Well anyway back to the Tornado below is a picture of the fuselage right after construction you can see that the fuel tank fits perfectly in the fuse. We are working on a smoke tank that will fit underneath the front of the main tank. The center servo is for the nose wheel steering standard size and the left and right are gear and brake valve both standard size. You can add small piece of hard wood if you want to make it for a smaller servo. Also I have included a picture of the inside rear of the fuselage you can see that all formers are very well glued and that I have drilled a whole in the formers so you can fit the fuel line for the smoke system and brass tubing leading out the back fuse.

I wanted to announceto all that we decided change the struts package offered for this airplane. We have worked overtime in the last week or so and we will have the trailing link struts for the TORNADO packaged up with the wheels and brakes instead of the straight off set struts that we originally had. The reason for the change was for the large number of emails requesting a trailing link. Like I have said before you guys ask and we will do our best to get it done. The price of the package will not be very much more than the original $200. Which is well under the trailing link struts price that was stated on the previous post's. Guys I encourage ideas and I will do my best to make it happen. Have a great day
