RE: The new Tornado sport jet
I have a version 1 Tornado, can someone please explain the process and address for getting my gear legs upgraded. I understand that my gear legs can be returned to have some kind of rework performed.
Tornado is flying like a dream now. Very happy with my jet. Whoooosh!

Interesting, can you post up or pm a picture of your struts? I rent a bay from Bill and see him most days and am not aware
of any of the upgraded ones failing from normal use. If yours are I want him to know and SEE what the problem is as he
is always trying to upgrade them as needed and feedback to him sure helps.
Thanks Chuck

The only other scheme is going to be the Red Navy Trainer scheme not the blue.

The new scheme looks great very nice work it looks very solid. Is Todd Still going to make gear for this kit because from the looks of it Spring has focused on the falcon rather than your plane. His web site shows this. Besides Prolink is much better gear anyway.
Email sent I have to have one. Once agian excellent work and for the price you can't beat it.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Thanks guys we have tried to solve every issue possible on the V3 and personally I think the structure is night and day from the V2. It definitely flies much smoother and cleaner since all the servos are internal.
We have recieved an astonishing amount of preorders in the last few hours and I would like to ask for your patience while we process everything before you get a confirmation email.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
I had the pleasure of seeing the new V3 fly at the Jet Meet they had down in Florida a few months back and it is a rocket. It was nice to see Henry put that plane through its paces and show off a little of course with those low knife edge paces he likes to do. It is great to see Dreamworks make gear for this new V3 since they really make a great product.
Order places thanks good work.

Then let the buyer know that I'm asking as I talked to Bill after reading your post and he would like pictures
very much. With over 300 sets of the newer upgrades without any reported problems he is VERY interested.
Also did you send them back to Bill or MB?
Thanks Chuck

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
well if it is true that 300 sets were sold my guess would be that that number will stay pretty stagnant now that Todd is going to make gear for this kit. Prolink is definitly grade A stuff. I dont know if its only me thinking this but it would be great if Dreamworks carried the kit as well. I realy dont have much time to shop everywere and a one stop shop like dreamworks would be great. My new Rabbit will have a new home soon

Nice post...not here to lie and to make a statement like that is ridiculous. I'm sure both Todd and Bill will be just fine.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
I plan on having the kit at my shop done very soon I told Alberto to start on it as soon as possible. I will upload video as soon as possible. My goal is to have more pictures up as soon as I get back. One big goal is to keep this one this time the blue one only lasted 5 flights and our good friends from Honduras took it LOL.
As far as the Pro link gear the last time I spoke to Todd they were going to make a package deal. I will speak to him when I get back about them carrying the planes as well.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
I have been in RC for about 16 years but never did the jet thing. Is this plane still good as a Jet trainer? I read some of the long thread and it sems like the first ones were great but is this new High Perfomance version still easy to fly? By the way I love the yellow scheme it looks like it is going 200 mph sitting still

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Several months back I actually took a poll on what color Navy Scheme to make and the Red won that is the only reason I choose that one. As far as the uncovered or painted version at this time we are not making that. I got stuck with about 20 kits that we had to cover here in the states so we will not offer that anymore. Th next batch I will make some blue ones.
To answer C550IFR question yes this plane is very easy to fly the flying charecterisitcs have not changed, actually it go easier to land since it is a about 2-3 lb heavier so it makes it more stable in wind. The airplane still slows down to a crawl and flies very fast as well. This would be a great first jet many people have gotten there waivers with this airplane.

i sent them back to Bill directly, my original struts bending caused wear to the tires and he wouldn't even replace the tires, just called to let me know they needed changing AFTER he had shipped them back..........with that kind of customer service i wasn't surprised when the forks weren't any better either.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Ok thanks guys I'll pass it on.
As far as the negative Falcon comments I don't get it at all. So Todd can sell struts for many jets/plans
and Bill just added them to his list and its a terrible thing? jeez.
